Horoscopes

Romantic February has arrived. Wasn’t it was good of St. Valentine to be born in the dregs of winter when humankind needed some cheer? Baby, it might be cold outside but Venus and Mars will be ready for action in hot fiery signs this month. Venus moves into Aries on the 3rd and Mars takes his cue from Cupid and sails into Sagittarius, the sign of the Archer, on the 14th. If I have to tell you what to do with that energy, you’re too young to be reading this.Just when you thought it was safe to make a few plans, what with all the planets being direct in motion, Mercury thumbs his nose at everyone and turns retrograde early on February 4. During his trek back into Aquarius, Mercury will run head on into Saturn on the 12th. If possible, avoid taking any tests that day. Your mind and your reflexes won’t be up to par. Going direct again on the 25th, the Winged Messenger will offer amends for all his tricks by making a lovely aspect to Venus. This would be the perfect day to discuss the “m” word with your beloved.

The full Leo moon on February 8 is too close to Uranus for comfort. Be prepared for unexpected shake-ups on the world stage. At home, check out your electric wiring.

On the 12th of the month, aggravation will be rampant as King Sol, already in his detriment in Aquarius, is frustrated by a meeting with Saturn. February 12 will be the sort of day to keep repeating the mantra, “This too shall pass.”

The new moon on the 23rd is in gentle Pisces. This would be a lovely morning to sleep in because later in the day the moon will bounce off aggressive Mars and you’ll be up and at ‘em again.

With the Taurus moon arriving on February 27, just in time for Mardi Gras, you have free rein to overindulge in life’s goodies. You’ll have plenty of chances to make up for it because the month ends on Ash Wednesday, the start of Christianity’s 40 days of fasting and penitence.
